Universal Childcare

Fran has a model to guarantee universal childcare. Through a program based on childcare plans in New Mexico and Vermont, families will be able to access high-quality childcare with no or low out-of-pocket costs.

Paid Leave For All

Nobody should have to decide between paying the bills and taking care of themselves or a sick family member. Fran’s universal paid leave bill would provide fully insured paid leave for all workers — including the self-employed.

Fully Funded Public Schools

Not too long ago, Wisconsin’s public schools were considered some of the best in the country. Fifteen years of Republican funding cuts have decimated them and abandoned parents, teachers, and students. We owe it to our future to resurrect our best-in-class primary education system — a project that begins with fully funding our public schools, public universities, and tech colleges.

Fairer, Cheaper Healthcare

We have to use every tool at our disposal to make healthcare as affordable as possible for every Wisconsinite and fight back against a healthcare system that makes our lives harder. That means:

  1. Expanding Medicaid and establishing a strong public option—proven in other states to lower insurance premiums.
  2. Cracking down on claim denials
  3. Making huge hospital corporations pay their fair share while helping small hospitals and community clinics stay stable.

Meet Francesca Hong for Governor Wisconsin

Francesca Hong is a mom, service worker, chef, and community organizer.

The daughter of immigrants and a proud Madisonian, a Democratic state representative and democratic socialist. She built her life from the dish pit to the State Legislature—always fighting for working families like hers.

Now she’s running for governor to build a Wisconsin where everyone has a seat at the table.
